Since 1994, McCain Foods South America has quickly earned a strong position in the South American frozen food industry with operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Colombia.
The company is the leading provider of quality frozen potato products for the region’s foodservice, quick service restaurant and retail markets.
Facilities:
1995 – the first fully automated French fry line in South America opens at the flagship, state-of-the-art production Balcarce, Argentina facility. The plant is located in one of Argentina’s most fertile areas for harvesting potatoes. Market demand has led to additional investments at the facility, such as an additional potato specialties production line. McCain also has facilities, and conducts seed and potato variety research, and irrigation feasibility studies in other parts of Argentina and South America.
McCain Foods SA consciously adheres to stringent quality standards – including choosing a better and healthier oil to manufacture all products. It employs more than 900 people and generates another 1,500 indirect jobs in the region.
